I received a Potty Training Chart from Victoria Chart Company in exchange for my honest opinion. This is particularly exciting because S is nearing 3 years and we’re still not pushing potty training. You may remember that I wasn’t planning on putting a lot of stress on the family to complete potty training by a certain time. Unfortunately, that also means S has become completely comfortable only suggesting toilet time when she wants a treat. And, she will still tell me “no poop in the potty.”
Yep, it’s definitely time to set a routine and get this “potty” started (see what I did there?). I’m happy to have received this chart to assist me in continuing to reward potty time habits, and hope that it will keep us from adding any stress to the situation.

Potty Training Chart
Victoria Chart Company sells all sorts of children’s reward charts, including the Ultimate Potty Training Reward Chart that I’m reviewing here. The contents of the chart kit include:
* Handy guide to assist in preparing for potty training and how to use the chart
* Potty training wall chart measuring 16.5″ x 11.7″
* Over 100 smiley stickers
* Over 40 Gold Smiley Star stickers
* Double-sided sticky pad to hang chart if you choose
* Dry-Wipe pen for personalizing chart
From the get-go S was very interested in the chart (again with the stickers). I showed her the chart and stickers and explained that she could put one sticker on for every action accomplished on the list. Straight away she ASKED to go to the potty and completed all the steps. I personalized the final step as a BONUS star sticker area – if she did EVERYTHING, she received a star sticker to place on the chart.
The benefit was that she immediately asked to potty again, although, she didn’t complete every step and then whined when we were done with stickers. In a matter of two hours, she attempted potty 3 times. I was happy to see that I could reward her in a way other than with candy every time.
The stickers were rewarding, but I had to supplement charting with stickers by giving her other stickers to put on paper. That girl is obsessed with stickers I tell you.
After about a week of use, S went back to being inconsistent and still wouldn’t do #2 in the potty. She would tell me whether or not she wanted to do stickers for going pee pee, so she determines what she wants as a reward for her efforts. And, is just as decisive about whether or not she wants a reward at all.
Regardless, I loved the chart. It and the stickers are adorable and rewarding … I just need a child with a less independent and decisive attitude I think (i joke, I joke).
Finally, when your child has mastered the potty, you can head over to the Victoria Chart Company’s Facebook page in their Free Stuff tab to download and print his or her potty training certificate!
