Despite not wanting to breastfeed again, little man decided it was exactly what he wanted to do. And, it appears we’re in it for the long haul.
Because I wasn’t sure I was going to attempt it again, I didn’t have much in the way of breastfeeding apparel. And, I have a wedding to attend in March, which means I needed to find something nicer than ill-fitting jeans and whatever shirt I have in my dresser.
Momzelle was kind enough to provide me with the opportunity to review my choice of breastfeeding apparel. I chose the Suzy nursing dress specifically knowing about the upcoming wedding, and that I’ll likely have a few opportunities to get out of the house and not look too dressed down.
The package arrived quickly, and I immediately opened it to find the dress beautifully wrapped in pink tissue paper, It made a nice impression and I felt as though ordering from Momzelle would be a perfect gift idea for a new mom or mom to be.
When I mentioned the nice touch, I was informed that the pink tissue paper is usually reserved for nursing bras. Should you decide to order something as a gift and wish your item to be wrapped similarly, you may email them as a personal request.
The dress itself was lightweight, which is perfect for the weather in FL. Additionally, it’s super soft and stretchy, which made nursing really easy. I really enjoyed not having to modify my pre-pregnancy clothing for breastfeeding, not to mention the limitations of what could actually be worn. And, I can’t wait to wear this to the wedding I plan to attend. I feel like I can dress it down with a pair of flats or dress it up with a pair of nice heels. Either way, whatever I decide to wear, I won’t feel out of place in a nicer environment that requires branching out of the jeans and t-shirt routine.
I decided to order the XS, despite measurements indicating I would be a size Small. I’m glad I did. The bust fits comfortably and there’s still a bit of room in the waist area … if I’d had this dress available as, say, the dress I wore home from the hospital, I imagine it would have fit perfectly around my belly. Momzelle‘s website suggests that, for shirts, you should order the size you were used to wearing previously. I found this to be true with the dress I ordered as well.
Now for the real fun …
