Who doesn’t love celebrating Cinco de Mayo? Fun, lively music, and drinking (if that’s your thing). Of course it is … it’s un-American not to drink on a holiday. Crap. I’m un-American.
Truthfully, I mostly don’t celebrate the random holidays. Honestly, I never even understood why the U.S. celebrated Cinco de Mayo. So, I decided to do a little research. The story is a bit more drawn out than I’d hoped. So, I’m going to be lazy and let you click the link if you feel like learning what the U.S. has to do with Cinco de Mayo.
Anyway, here’s the truth. This holiday gives me another reason to have mexican fare during the week. I feel like I could eat Mexican dishes all week and never get sick of it. It’s not just Taco Tuesday this week!! But, I certainly won’t want to eat the same old Tacos we just had a few nights before. You?
